Raif Rashed is the talented chef behind Taboonia.
An engineer by trade, he learned to cook alongside his grandmother, where food became a beautiful language of hospitality, family, and tradition.
As an Israeli Druze and a survivor of the October 7th attacks, cooking evolved into a means to heal, connect, and give back to his community.
Today, he masterfully blends traditional Druze food with vibrant Middle Eastern flavors and fresh, modern techniques, creating dishes that honor his heritage while appealing to today's palate.

Ariel Gordon is a native New Yorker, expressive arts psychoanalyst, and world traveler.
Her passion for cooking blossomed while baking for her grandmother during the final chapter of her life, where she learned how food can provide comfort, connection, and care.
At Taboonia, Ariel merges playfulness and hospitality with her love for fresh, nutritional food, including rich Middle Eastern flavors and traditional Druze food.

Tiberia is often accompanied by Ariel.
She is a rescued Shih Tzu 'Super Mutt', who enjoys exploring the team's culinary adventures featuring traditional Middle Eastern foods.
At Taboonia, she serves as the enthusiastic unofficial food tester, as well as emotional support ewok for all visitors who stop by.
